There’s something magical about a lavender field family session in Idaho Falls. And this early August evening couldn’t have been more perfect. With the golden sunlight filtering through rows of soft purple blooms, I had the pleasure of photographing a sweet family of four—two parents and their energetic little ones. Additionally, the calm of the setting was the perfect contrast to the joyful chaos that naturally comes with young children, and it made for the most beautiful, heartfelt images.
Family Session Posing that Feels Real
As a family photographer in Idaho Falls, I strive to seamlessly blend traditional and candid posing. During this session, I started with a few classic shots. First, everyone looking at the camera and smiling, framed by the rows of lavender. These timeless images are ones that parents will treasure for years. But it’s the candid moments in between that truly tell a family’s story.
With young kids, flexibility is key. I encouraged the children to just have fun. I asked them to run through the lavender, twirl in the open space, and snuggle up to mom and dad when they needed a breather. These simple prompts lead to natural, unscripted moments. Moments with giggles, tight hugs, shy glances, and big belly laughs. That’s the beauty of candid posing for families. It allows their true personalities to shine through while also keeping the session relaxed and fun.
Finally, at the end of the session, the family took some photos with two more furry family members! Their two dogs were a fun addition to their photos.
In conclusion, if you’re dreaming of photos that blend color, emotion, and Idaho’s natural beauty, a lavender field family session in Idaho Falls might just be perfect for you. Let’s create something timeless—something real.
