Engagement photography in Victor, Idaho is always magical, especially when fresh mountain snow is involved! Abi and Hayden’s session was the perfect example. From the gorgeous location to the dreamy sunlight, everything came together beautifully.
First of all, Abi and Hayden are such a sweet and fun couple. I loved spending the evening with them! Their energy made the entire session relaxed and natural. As a photographer, I absolutely love meeting newly-engaged couples and hearing about their story!
Engagement Photography Location Planning
However, planning their snowy engagement session took a little creativity. We have had an incredibly warm winter this year with very little snow. In addition, a few extra warm days happened right before their session. Because of that, our original location was going to look a lot more brown than we wanted. I always want to make sure we find the perfect location for my couples, so we decided to pivot! Instead of our original spot, we headed higher into the mountains near Victor. Thankfully, that choice paid off perfectly!
We found the most beautiful location in the mountains where there was still snow left. Tall pine trees surrounded us, and soft sunlight filtered through the branches. As a result, the whole scene looked dreamy and romantic. Even the weather was great. It wasn’t very cold or windy like we are used to during this time of year in Idaho. Other than how hard it has been to find snow, I have really enjoyed the mild weather this winter.
During Abi and Hayden’s engagement photography session, we had fun exploring the area together. We started among the pine trees, capturing cozy and playful moments. Then, we walked a little higher up the trail.
Eventually, we reached a beautiful mountain overlook. The view was stunning, especially with the glowing winter light. Naturally, it created the perfect backdrop for some of my favorite engagement photography in Victor, Idaho.
I’m so excited for Abi and Hayden and everything ahead of them. Next up is their bridal session and wedding day this spring and I can’t wait!
