Backyard Wedding in Arco, Idaho

Jason and Sabree’s backyard wedding in Arco, Idaho was one of the sweetest weddings I’ve photographed. From the very beginning, I could tell their day would be full of love, laughter, and beautiful moments.

Jason and Sabree are from Denver, Colorado. They chose Arco, Idaho as their destination wedding spot because of family ties and the gorgeous setting. Surrounded by panoramic mountain views and wide-open fields, their celebration was the perfect mix of heartfelt and joyful.

I first connected with them over the phone when they booked. Even then, I knew they were genuine and fun. They shared how important capturing family and friends was to them. As a wedding photographer, I was thrilled to focus on those connections throughout the day.

On the morning of the wedding, I photographed all the pre-ceremony excitement. Sabree got ready with her bridesmaids, and Trudi Day did a flawless job on hair and makeup. Sabree’s dress from Vow’d Weddings couldn’t have been more perfect—it didn’t even need alterations!

Before the ceremony, I captured guests arriving from all over the United States. Some came from bustling cities like New York, while others traveled from small towns. It was wonderful to see such a diverse group come together to celebrate.

The ceremony itself was windy but absolutely beautiful. Jason’s reaction to seeing Sabree walk down the aisle was unforgettable—pure love on his face. Afterward, guests enjoyed cocktail hour while I photographed family groups and candid moments.

Next, dinner was catered by Pitmaster BBQ, followed by cake cutting. A funny moment happened when Jason dropped a pearl sprinkle down Sabree’s dress, which earned him a playful cake-to-the-face from his bride. Everyone laughed, and the sweetness of the moment perfectly matched their personalities.

As the sun set, I stole Jason and Sabree away for portraits. The golden light against the mountains was breathtaking. Afterward, everyone danced and partied well into the night.

I also have to mention Jana Hill, the wedding day-of coordinator. She did an incredible job making everything run smoothly, organizing events, and even helping coordinate group photos. I highly recommend having a planner or day-of coordinator like her!

Overall, this backyard wedding in Arco, Idaho was such a joy to capture. Jason and Sabree’s love, combined with their amazing families, made it an unforgettable celebration.
