Winter Wedding at Pocatello Temple & DEC Idaho Falls

Skyler and Nathan’s Winter Wedding at Pocatello Temple & DEC Idaho Falls was an absolute dream to capture. From the snowy temple grounds to the lively reception in downtown Idaho Falls, every part of the day was filled with emotion, laughter, and celebration. Dillon and I, as their videographer and photographer, had the best seat in the house to witness and preserve it all.

Pocatello Temple Wedding

First, the day began at the beautiful Pocatello Temple. It was cold, snowy, and definitely a true Idaho winter day—but Skyler and Nathan were total troopers. They embraced the weather and stayed upbeat the entire time. We moved quickly to get all the family portraits they wanted, plus fun group shots with the bridesmaids and groomsmen. The bride and groom portraits turned out so dreamy with the snow falling softly around them. Despite the chill, the love and joy they shared warmed up every frame.

Wedding Reception at the Downtown Event Center (DEC) in Idaho Falls

Later, everyone gathered at the Downtown Event Center (DEC) in Idaho Falls for one of the most fun receptions we’ve ever captured. There were games galore—the shoe game, bouquet and garter tosses, and two hilarious guessing games that had the whole room laughing. One involved cheek kisses for Nathan from a line up to find his bride, and the other had Skyler feeling a row of biceps to find her groom. The dances were heartfelt and full of personality. Nathan danced with his mom, Skyler shared sweet moments with her grandfather and dad, and then surprised everyone with a choreographed dance that showed off their dance talent. After that, the dance floor stayed packed!

Finally, the evening ended on a magical note. After a private last dance, Skyler and Nathan made their grand exit under a shower of bubbles and streamers. They drove off into the night, wrapping up a day full of unforgettable moments.

Additionally, Dillon worked along side me to capture their wedding video. It encapsulates the emotion and excitement in a way photos simply can’t. You can hear the cheering during the temple exit, feel the emotion during the dances, and relive the energy of the dance party. Their love story truly shines through in every clip. Watching it feels like stepping right back into their day.

Overall, Skyler and Nathan’s wedding was filled with so much love, laughter, and personality. Capturing every moment for them—through both photo and video—was such an honor, and I’m so excited for them to relive it all for years to come.
