Halloween-Inspired Bride & Groom | Spooky Skeletons & Frankensteins

What is a wedding photographer’s favorite way to celebrate spooky season?! A Halloween-inspired bridal photoshoot, of course! Think all-things-wedding but make it spooky. (; This shoot features two bridal couples – a skeleton bride and groom and Frankenstein and his bride – and some fun Halloween wedding details like a black wedding cake and a candle backdrop.

Big Cottonwood Canyon has the most beautiful, colorful leaves in the fall and it is one of my favorite places to be during September and October! During this shoot we caught the leaves at the end of their colorful show, which added to the dying, eerie look we were going for.

Check out my last Halloween blog post for more inspiration for weddings or costumes!

Skeleton Bride and Groom

Part one of this shoot included a skeleton bride and groom, elegant wedding attire, moody jewel-toned florals (which are actually made of wood!), and the changing fall leaves in the mountains near Salt Lake City, Utah. All of it came together to create some serious Halloween wedding inspiration!

The bride and groom looked totally terrifying with their skeleton makeup. Their look was elevated by their gorgeous wedding attire, including a sparkling wedding gown with a full skirt and long train. The off-white color and long sleeves made it fit the season. The groom looked dashing in a velvet suit that matched the beautiful maroons in the bride’s bouquet.

We waited until after dark to get some shots with the candle-lit backdrop and the look turned out beautifully creepy!

Frankenstein and his Bride

Have you ever wondered what Frankenstein and his bride might look like on their wedding day?! Now you have an idea!! Just like the skeleton couple, Frankenstein and his bride would be such a fun couple’s Halloween costume – spooky and stunning all in one.

This Frankenstein and his bride are particularly classy with a black suit and red tie for the groom, and a fitted, sleek stripped wedding dress for the bride. They turned up the romance for this shoot and it was so fun to imagine what their wedding day would be like!
